Excellent choice ieGeek double Security camera

Having already had 1 of the ieGeek 2.4/5GHz PTZ outdoor security cameras at the front of my house it made sense to buy the set of 2, especially considering the good price. In total I have 8 ieGeek cameras dotted in & around my house.Once again I wasn't disappointed with the end result, clear video, easy to use ieGeek App with the option to purchase subscription packages or just record to SD card. The installation process is made easy by the addition of a template that you can attach to the surface where the camera will go. You then simply drill a couple of holes into that surface or simply screw the camera into that surface & then connect the long USB lead to the enclosed USB plug & into a wall socket & you have installed your camera. Before you fix the security camera in place I find that it is easier to connect the camera to your internet router by simply following the instructions on the ieGeek App that is available by scanning the QR code within the documentation. All in all the 2 camera set from ieGeek was a good buy for me because of the ease of the installation (you can actually buy a ieGeek solar panel, instead of plugging the camera into a wall socket) thee ease of use of the App & the video quality is very good.I highly recommend this double camera unit

An excellent camera that deserves the praise it has!

PROS:-+Image quality and video playback are much superior to other similar CCTV cameras. Compared to Blink 4 Outdoors, for instance, this camera is significantly better!+This is a huge amount of camera for the money involved! It's feature rich and very capable!+Motion tracking and PTZ work very well considering the price point of this camera!+Very easy installation. Coming from other, more expensive CCTV systems, like Blink, this was incredibly easy and pain-free!+Alerts can be configured and silenced if needed.+Bright LED Lights and good quality night vision capabilities.+All saved videos are encrypted on to the microSD card (upto 128GB) **Not included.+Access to camera can be shared with other users (registration required through ieGeek).+Can take snapshots and recordings manually.CONS:-- There is ZERO mention in the description that the advertised AI capabilities (only notifying you on human activity) are charged ADDITIONALLY on a monthly basis.- Locating saved footage can be somewhat cumbersome and fiddly.- The camera antennas are not very powerful. I'm getting 3 out of 5 connection quality bars through a solid wall approximately 3.5mtrs away from my router. However, the camera doesn't seem to struggle because of this.- Due to video encryption the replayed fisher may lag slightly at times.- Aimee features within the app can be confusing to locate, activate and deactivate. For instance, if you don't require the LED light to activate when motion is detected, you need to select 'black & white night vision'. A simple toggle would have been much better.-The 3mtre power cable is fixed to the camera and is USB A. You may want to get a USB A Male to Female extender for longer distances to your nearest plug socket. A USB A power adaptor is included, however!Tested using Android16 mobile phones and 1Gbps Fibre Internet.Overall; HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. There are some niggles as detailed above but for this pricepoint, it exceeded my expectations, massively. I'm happy to replace my Blink and other expensive cameras with these.

Easy set up

Definitely recommend this security camera it is so easy to set up on the app took me all of 5 mins and also easy simple installation. Picture quality is fantastic and so many features on the app that you set for the camera. The alarm is nice and loud enough to scare anything off as well as you having the option to speak if need be to let anyone no that you are aware there on your property. I would say I went for 128 gb scandisk microSDXC with adapter for the camera as better for storage otherwise you will be needing to re-set if you don’t have a lot of storage . Absolutely cannot fault this and the price just as good as the most expensive security cameras out there on the market.

I have now got 3 cameras and I find them very good. I was able to use them when I was in Scotland.

good price, good picture, good app

i have two of these, and they both share the same app as the iegeek door bell i have at home.easy to install (drill 2 holes) and soon up and running. my previous cameras are also iegeek, which i've had for some years now and they've been good but the new ones are so much better.good picture, stable connection and good app to manage everything.using memory cards (max 64Gb) to save 'motion history' and already have several weeks data without being overwritten yet.motion sensing can identify human movement, however, this fails when it's raining as it's repeatedly triggered by the rain (only one camera does this, i'm guessing it's more to do with the bright light source nearby)

Excellent quality images and motion tracking

Great cameras and easy to set up. Plug in and turn on near your router before installation outside as you need to install there app and scan the barcode on your phone/tablet with the camera itself to set up. Once linked add a micro sd card on the underside of the camera and seal with the rubber flap and format the card. You will need to drill a decent size hole if your feeding the power cable in the home through a wall at the power cable end is a USB adapter. Go through the settings for motion detection and tracking and set quality to qhd for best quality. Images are nice and sharp and work well in the dark when set to full colour. Built in lights are sufficient for night time recordings which produce plenty of detail. Live streaming works well and if you want to view recordings simply click history and flick through the timeline. Motion tracking works well if you do have an unwanted guest come onto your property, it will move automatically and follow them around as long as they are not moving too fast. Overall these are great cameras that produce plenty of detail and I can highly recommend them.

Great quality ,AI motion detection very responsive great value does everything

Great seller as arrived on time and in good condition,We originally had IeGeek cams up but decided we needed an upgrade after a good few years , as the quality and technology has improved significantly for the price point too …Product is very good quality cam video and pictures, AI motion detection is brilliant and very useful as you can choose to track humans cars pets or packages all together or separately and so on…Works very well at night and is much better than the old cam as now because it moves around you won’t get cobwebs that block the nighttime vision, also you can set a strobe to go off and alarm ,but ours just has the light come on at front of cam and tracks movement…The 2 way intercom is also a very welcome feature as can deter sales people or even talk to delivery people and such and you don’t even have to be at house but they don’t know that …Would definitely recommend these cams we got 3 and will probably get one more also can’t fault them apart from the ongoing subscription for AI and Event cloud recording, although is minimal compared to value you receive from this product.

Easy to set up

Lovely cctv camera.Very easy to link to the Wi-Fi and set up. Tried several different positions to establish best connection and view. Using the app you can set the camera to suit your needs. For example following movements then returning to its set position.Very happy with the picture quality Both night and day and caught a furry friend paying us a visit on the first night.Looking forward to fitting up my second camera for further piece of mind.Only little gripes are the sound and volume of the audible alarm, would have liked something a little less sharp but this can be turned off,and the diagrams in the information booklet and on the app.The text in the pictures is so small that I found taking a photo of the page was the only way to read the very small print. Unless it’s my eyes 😂All in all would definitely recommend.

Excellent Quality

So we’ve been looking for a CCTV camera for our back garden, and after looking at reviews on Google, this camera came up, it’s bigger than we expected, but that’s fine, the quality of the picture is amazing for the price, we also like the way the 360 degree works, it sends notifications to my phone and iPad every time there is someone in the back garden, we have removed the notification sound as it can be a little irritating when one of us is out there, the good thing is I can see if anyone enters when we are away, playback with my internet speed is not great, so you just download and it plays fine. All I can say is that we are very happy with our purchase and will be ordering another for the front of the house. The pictures attached show how we fitted our camera, there are no wires outside and I think it looks pretty neat inside, we drilled a 28mm hole through the wall and inserted a 25mm piece of conduit and foamed round the space, we then attached a draw wire to the wires on the camera (fiddly so make sure large wire goes in first, followed by smaller wire) and pulled them through

Very good cameras and well featured app

My mum wanted some cameras for home security so I got 3 of these and installed them for her.- The setup is straightforward, just follow the instructions and the app takes you through the rest.- I much prefer the single cable of a USB powered camera. The external camera used a 16mm drill bit to feed the cable through.- The motion tracking is really good. After a few seconds of inactivity the camera resets to the position you set as its default.- Night vision is excellent. The spotlight has already proved a good deterrent by lighting up one of the local hoodies trying to tamper with the doorbell in the middle of the night, sending him scurrying off.- The app is decent, allowing you to access multiple cameras through one dashboard. The only thing I don't like is the scrolling timeline in the History tab. If you change the zoom it always resets to midnight on the selected day, which is just a bit irritating.- The instructions do mention this, but you need your memory card installed before powering on the camera. Caught me out until I read that far into the instructions. I haven't used the cloud features, preferring to use memory cards instead of ongoing subscription costs.Overall a great piece of kit. Solidly built, with decent fixings included and everyone appreciates a template to line your drill holes up. Speaking of drill holes, it would have been handy if the instructions told you what size drill bit you need - 6mm if you're curious.

Great HD picture quality

I have to admit, I’m very surprised that this cheap camera does everything that it says in the ad, but it really does. The only negative is that the 3M length of wire powering the camera might not be enough for some installations (including mine) and also, if you need to drill a hole to pass the cable through walls or window frames to reach an inside electrical outlet, then you’re going to need a pretty big (rectangular shaped) hole because they’ve chosen a USB type A connector as the power source. (See photo)I’m an electronics engineer and so extending the wire involved removing the base plate of the mounting bracket to solder in a new length of cable but obviously this voids and warranty and maybe for most, this is too complicated to risk damaging your new camera. You can use a USB A male to female extension lead instead if this is your preference.Night vision is excellent and the small LED built in lamps do a great job in our rear garden of increased visibility but the inherent sensitivity of the camera at nighttime is enough without this feature. I did have issues on first tests of the camera but that was mainly down to poor WiFi reception. Relocating the camera and extending my house WiFi signal made these issues disappear. Not only is the picture quality excellent for the price point, but no subscriptions are required to record any alarm events or live action as it’s all stored locally if you slot in a micro SD card. You can then access this recorded video remotely via the app on your phone.Setup was easy after Identifying that my Wi-Fi was weak. The app you download is ok and I got notifications on each occasion that someone was walking in front of the lens. It only triggers on human movement and not by my dog, and so you couldn’t really use this if your goal is to watch wildlife visiting your property! You do have the option however to record 24/7 onto the SD card instead of just recording alarm events. All in all, this is very good value for money and does exactly what I wanted offering surveillance of my garden shed and gateway to the rear of our property. It also acts as a clear visual deterrent to any would be burglars.

Great quality camera

Camera arrived ontime and exactly as described, nicely packaged in a sturdy box and polystyrene type inner cushioning around the camera.I also purchased a 128gb micro SD card, which fitted perfectly, (make sure it's a minimum class 10 card, I got a SanDisk card).I also purchased a small weatherproof box for the excess cables (see my photo), just to keep things neat and protected.Camera fairly simple to set up and connect to my WiFi network, then after a bit of trial and error, I figured out the specific parameters I required. Camera works perfectly and the image quality day and night is far greater than I was expecting. Nice and clear Image, even when zooming in. Pan and tilt feature is great, although I only need it looking in the same spot most of the time.I extended the warranty straight away and received a very quick response and a thankyou from the customer support team.Very impressed with this camera and would highly recommend it.

Great camera

This is a mains powered device that comes with a 2.5m usb cable attached. This then plugs into a mains charger. The long cable meant that it was ideal for my sitiation where I drilled a hole through a blocked up door way and into a nearby main socket. Set up was really easy. I installed the new ieGeek Cam app and the wifi was picked up without any problem. The three picture quality settings (SD, HD and QHD) are all great but I leave mine on HD. I am using a 32gb micro usb card to record any movement at the rear of my house and the app works really well. As I have it set up, the camera's security light comes on at night if it detects human movement (I have not used the siren mode as yet in case it disturbs the neighbours). Overall a great security camera at a great price, so will buy another when needed.

Good when there is a strong Signal.

There is quite a lot of information about specifications of this camera so this is mostly just my experience...The actual camera is pretty pleasant looking, nice design and I like that its white since as a security camera I wanted it to stand out. I made a bracket and positioned it on the corner of my house with intention of being able to look over the front garden but also able to rotate to see the side when needed.Setup is pretty well described and straight forward and doesn’t take long to get connected. What I like about the camera and app is there are quite a few options and actually seeing the camera live view starts quickly. The image quality is pretty decent especially with stationary objects. It has features that are normally on more expensive cameras; rotation, motion tracking, siren, floodlight on detection, choice of black and white or colour using the light at night.I have had an issue however to do with recording the Video to the SD card. The camera now and again disconnects and when this happens the SD card stops being detected and won't work again until another disconnect or unplug from power. This is the reason I've given 4 stars and will update this if in the future there is at least an option in the app to restart the camera. The customer support is helpful and do their best to assist. I think most people should not have these issues. I have an old house with thick walls and the camera does not get a good wifi signal even using a wifi extender. However even with this, the live view still works very well and can move the camera to see the garden.Despite the connection issue, I have since bought a second camera for the back garden and although the signal is actually weaker (it’s on a corner and the thick exterior walls block the signal even from a nearby extender) and there have been a couple disconnections this camera has continued to record to the SD card so maybe they have improved the software.Only 2 things I would love to see added in future would be a reboot option in the app and option for a couple saved zones so can quickly get the camera back to an exact position you want it.Overall a very nice camera for the price and with stronger wifi signal i think it would be even more solid and reliable.Update: I have changed my opinion to 5 star because for £30 this is a really good camera with lots of features but it’s the after sale support that makes a difference. They worked with me to get things sorted when I had an issue! Will continue to use IeGeek products.
