FAQs

How long does ieGeek ZS-GX4S battery last?

The rechargeable 5,200mAh battery lasts 3-6 months under normal use (20 events/day). With the solar panel, it operates indefinitely. Continuous recording reduces battery life to 2 weeks.

Does ieGeek ZS-GX4S need WiFi?

Yes, it requires 2.4GHz WiFi for live view and alerts. For no-WiFi areas, use ieGeek’s 4G LTE cameras (like ZY-G1) with cellular connectivity.

Can ZS-GX4S work without solar panel?

Absolutely. The camera functions on battery alone, but pairing with the 15W solar panel enables year-round operation without recharging.

What’s the night vision range of ZS-GX4S?

33ft (10m) in full color using starlight sensors, and 50ft (15m) in infrared B/W mode – 30% farther than Wyze Cam v3.

Is ieGeek ZS-GX4S waterproof?

With IP65 rating, it withstands heavy rain, snowstorms (-40°F), and dust. The metal housing resists corrosion in coastal areas.

How to store footage without cloud?

Use a local microSD card (up to 128GB) to save motion-triggered recordings. No cloud subscription is required for basic features.

Does ZS-GX4S work with Alexa?

Yes! Say "Alexa, show my backyard camera" to view feeds on Echo devices.

Can I share camera access?

Share with unlimited users via the ieGeek app. Family members get custom access levels (view-only or full control).

How to install ZS-GX4S vertically?

Use the adjustable ball joint mount to install on walls/fences at any angle. No tools needed – 3-minute setup.

What’s the warranty for ZS-GX4S?

2 years warranty with free replacements for defects. Includes 24/7 tech support via chat.

Happy

The cameras of which I bought 3 are really good. Good quality pictures, day and night. You can move the cameras from your phone and do everything on your phone and you don't need to pay a subscription. You don't need an sd card. And I thought they were good value for money.
